HOUSE SPRINGS, MO. (KTVI) – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in House Spring, in the 5600 block of Carter Driver.  Sheriff’s deputies say the owner of the home had been renting the residence to a married couple, who the owner thought were involved in the Meth trade.

Just after 5:40 pm, the deputies were called to the residence, after the owner had told the couple living at the home to leave.  The couple complied, but the husband called his parents to go to the home and retrieve their belongings.  That’s when events took a nasty turn.

Once at the house, the parents, the homeowner and homeowner’s boyfriend got into an argument, where one person was maced and one person was shot.

The parents of the evicted man drove to the empty Wal-mart lot in House Springs, where deputies received a call from 911.  That’s were sheriffs deputies discovered the male parent had a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies at the home on Carter Drive took into custody the homeowner and her boyfriend, for the shooting of the male parent.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
