VALLEY PARK, MO. (KTVI) – New developments in the case of troubled Valley Park Mayor Nathan Grellner.  The board of alderman has voted to hire a special investigator, to look into whether the mayor should be impeached.  The board hired attorney, Chet Pleban, to be that special investigator.

Grellner is under fire for allegedly using a city credit card for personal expenses.   Grellner’s also accused of spitting on a police officer during a traffic stop last month.

The board also voted to temporarily remove city attorney, Eric Martin, pending the outcome of the investigation.  Martin had reportedly been giving legal advice to the mayor.

Grellner was not at the meeting Monday night.
