St. Louis City Stepping Up Efforts to Keep Homeless Safe in Heat

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The city of St. Louis is stepping up its efforts to keep the homeless safe in the heat.  Its increasing its outreach efforts to inform people who are homeless they need to stay hydrated and find relief.  St. Patrick’s Center frequently seeks out the homeless.  The center passes out water and urges visitors to seek out cooling centers, like The Bridge, located at the Centenary United Methodist Church on Olive.  Of the 24 people who have died from the heat in the region, three were homeless.
