(BBC News) – Twitter has told the owner of a spoof account that they will reveal the identity to the company.  Northcliffe Media issued a subpoena to Twitter through a court in California.  The account, titled “@UnSteveDorkland” was created as a parody of The Northcliffe CEO, Steve Auckland.

Northcliffe claimed the tweets from the spoof account were “obsessive and offensive”.

The subpoena stated that Twitter needed to give up all information it has collected on the account holder of this fake parody account.
