Wrong Way Driver Killed In Chesterfield Crash

CHESTERFIELD, MO (KTVI)-Westbound I-64/Highway 40 was shut down for about three hours Sunday morning after a wrong way driver sideswiped a Greyhound bus near Boone's Crossing in Chesterfield.  Police and medics responded to the scene around 4:30 am.

According to police, a driver was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes, hit the bus, and then another vehicle. The driver of the wrong way vehicle was killed.  The drivers of the bus and the other vehicle went to a hospital.  Their injuries are not serious.   None of the bus passengers was hurt. 

The highway was shut down west of Boone’s Crossing. It was reopened around 7:30am.

The Greyhound bus was leaving St. Louis for Kansas City. Another bus came and took the passengers on their way.
