MO State Fair Offers Weather Text Message Service

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – A round of severe weather tore through the Washington town and country fairgrounds this weekend, sending people running for cover.  With the Missouri State Fair just days away, officials are offering new tools to keep people safe.

Smartphone users can sign up fox text warnings. There will be signs posted at the entrance with directions. The state fair in sedalia got hit by severe weather last year, knocking down tents and other structures.

To sign-up for the message service send a text to 888777 with the passcode MOFAIR12 in the message.
