Recipe: Learn How To Make A Catfish Burger

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - JoJo Davis from the Shrimp Shack makes a Catfish burger.  You can make one too.  Just follow this simple recipe to make your own.  It is even easier to stop by the Shrimp Shack to pick one up from the experts.


  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup of jojos fish meal
  • 2oz of cream cheese( optional fat free )
  • 1 3/4 tsp of miracle seasoning
  • 1lb of catfish fillet cut into chunks  
  • 1 green onion , chopped
  • 1tsp. Olive oil  

In a food processor combine 1/2 cup of bread crumbs, cream cheese and miracle seasoning and pulse to blend. Add catfillet; pulse until finely chopped (do not purée ) Transfer to a bowl; stir in green onion; form into 4 patties coat each side with JoJo’s signature fish meal.

In a large nonstick skillet heat olive oil over medium heat. Add patties cook 5 min per side or until golden and an instant read thermometer registers 145F.
Serve with desired topping on a multi-grain roll or on a bed of spring salad mix..
