Artifical Butter Flavor May Increase Risk of Alzheimer’s Disease
ST. LOUIS , MISSOURI ( KTVI)- A popular snack’s hidden ingredients could increase the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. A recent study published by chemical research in toxicology says the buttery flavoring on movie and microwave popcorn may trigger Alzheimer’s, but that’s not all. According to researchers, the flavoring, called Diacetyl, is also linked to lung damage in microwave popcorn factory workers. So far, the effects have only been seen in test-tube studies.
