WARRENTON, MO (KTVI)- According to Major Case Squad detectives 22-year-old Andrew Ell was out drinking with friends on Friday night and got separated from the group.

He was last seen around 1am at a Jack in the Box along I- 70 and Outer Road. Friends and family put a search team together and ultimately found his body on Sunday a half mile away from the restaurant in a drainage ditch. We`re told by detectives that Ell`s body was found in 6 to 8 inches of water. He was headed towards his home which is 8 miles away from where his body was found. At this point detectives say foul play is not a factor.

Detectives say it could take 8 weeks to get final autopsy and toxicology results to complete their investigation.

FOX 2 also spoke to friends of Ell who say he was a nice guy who was great to be around. He worked for Baxter's Gardens West Landscaping Company in O`Fallon from high school through college.

Eight-teen detectives worked on the case.
