ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Federal Records Center is moving from its longtime location overland to a new facility in Spanish Lake.
What to do with all that paper? Karen Mellott, of the National Personnel Records Center talks about how they recycle a massive amount of materials.

"This project makes us feel good on so many levels.  The Federal government is the largest employer and as such we should be leading the way in recycling.  We have made every effort to do that as we have worked toward closing down the old facility.  Our partnership with St. Louis Green and RNA Worldwide resulted in a cost efficient option for the government, additional jobs for the St. Louis community, funding of Operation Food Search's Operation Backpack and recycling (which benefits all of us)." said Karen Mellott.
