Two Men Arrested In Connection With Warrensburg Homicide

WARRENSBURG, MO (WDAF) — Police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a Warrensburg business owner over the weekend.

Reginald L. Singletary, 27, and Ziyad T. Abid, 23, both of Warrensburg, were arrested and booked on first-degree murder charges in connection to the Saturday evening shooting death of William Blaine Whitworth, 25, at his Warrensburg home.

Singletary and Abid are both in custody at the Johnson County, Missouri, Jail pending the filing of formal charges. There is no word on bond.

The arrests come are two days of investigation by the Major Case Squad, with includes investigators from Missouri State Highway Patrol, and police and sheriff’s deputies from Johnson, Pettis, Henry, Saline and Ray counties.
