ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 today in San Francisco. The new device is 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the iPhone 4s.  Gone is the glass backing replaced by metal. At Wireless Toyz they've been anticipating the new iPhone 5 and it's new smaller eight pin connector replacing the larger 30 pin port.

"So the existing charger and data cable with all your other i-devices out there, you'll either have to get an adapter for it or get a new cable." said Wireless Toyz Owner Dave Takushi.

At the tune of $29 each or $39 for the attached cables and that old iPhone you have?

"Whether it's a 3G, 3Gs, 4's and 4s's.  There's a great market for them.  I tell people not to throw them away.  They can sell online, they can sell to stores like ours or Craiglist or eBay." said Dave Takushi.

I went searching for iPhone fever at West County Mall but there were no lines.  So it appears iPhone fever, like Scarlett or Pac-Man fever doesn't infect everyone.
