DENVER, CO. –  One more poll is out but it hasn’t done much to change the real clear politics national average. The president heads in to Wednesday’s debate with just a three point advantage. Swing states like Colorado, the site of the debate, can make all of the difference.

Mitt Romney got A last-minute endorsement from former Broncos quarterback John Elway. But he’s preparing for a much more critical stage on Wednesday.

That stage at the University of Denver is still being set for the first debate which will focus primarily on domestic issues.

President Obama made some quick phone calls at a campaign office in Nevada where he’s going through debate rehearsal  part of that homework involves mock debates.  The president taking on Massachusetts Senator John Kerry while Romney’s sparring partner is ohio senator Rob Portman.

In the meantime, most of the public appearances and attacks before the debate are being handed off to the number twos. Paul Ryan and Joe Biden hit the trail while their bosses brush up.
