KIRKWOOD, MO (KTVI)--Cardinals fans who didn’t make the trip to sunny 80 degree Atlanta bundled up here to root for their team and were happy they didn’t have to sit out in the cold at Busch stadium this afternoon.
Instead, they gathered at their favorite sports bars.

During the game, nearly every seat at Buffalo Wild Wings in Kirkwood was filled with a Cardinals fan. Some remained long after the game, discussing the 6-3 victory over the Braves.
A lot of the customers came right from work or took off early from work so they could join their friends to watch the game.  Greg DeBeer was among them. He says, “I love the Cardinals, they’re my hometown team I’ve watched since I was young, I love ‘em. Twelve in ’12, why not.”
The infield fly rule controversy was definitely the topic of conversation among fans. It was mixed whether fans felt referees made the right call, but most felt the bottle throwing onto the field was unsportsmanlike.
Controversy aside, now fans are pumped for Sunday’s showdown against Washington.  Cardinals fan Lou Barrale says, “They look good, they’re hot at the right time, and that’s all that matters, and we’re in.”
