(KTVI) - September marked Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, but the battle never stops against the devestating disease. Patients are fighting and surviving, thanks to the work being done right here in St. Louis.

Dr. Theresa DeShields is a psychologist and oncologist at Siteman Cancer Center and Angela Shepherd is an ovarian cancer survivor who was diagnosed 11 years ago. They both stopped by FOX 2 News in the Morning to talk about  the 2nd Annual Wine Tasting Awareness and Fundraiser event next Tuesday, October 9.

It's from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Winehaus Restaurant  on Watson and Potomac. The price is only $20 per guest.  Get more information at SLOCA.org
