(KTVI) - A dedicated teacher at Grigsby Middle School in the Granite City School District knew she was on to something when her 7th graders responded so positively to a new initiative.  Earlier this year, she introduced them to the idea of Paying It Forward and performing Random Acts of Kindness.

From making donations to Make-A-Wish and the American Cancer Society to helping strangers with simple tasks, the students excelled at every turn.

Now Mrs. Lang is returning the favor, by honoring her students with our $500 Pay It Forward award.
