Expect MetroLink Delays in Illinois

BELLEVILLE, IL (KTVI) – Metrolink passengers should expect more delays Thursday through Sunday in the Metro East as crews continue to work on the tracks. 

Tracks between the College and Shiloh-Scott stations and between the Swansea and Belleville stations are affected from 8 p.m. through end of service Wednesday.

 Here are the details: 

The St. Clair County Transit District will transport Red Line MetroLink customers by MetroBus from the College MetroLink Station to the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station. Westbound passengers should allow for 20 to 25 minute delays and eastbound passengers should expect five to 10 minute delays. MetroLink will operate on a single track between the Swansea MetroLink Station and the Belleville MetroLink Station from 8 p.m. until the end of service on Friday and all day and all night Saturday and Sunday to accommodate work at the Swansea and Belleville Stations. Red Line customers may encounter delays of five to 10 minutes.
