KIRKWOOD, MO. (KTVI) – A major change in weather is not expected to stop hundreds of costume wearing, bag toting kids in Kirkwood Thursday night for the annual Halloween walk.

For the most part, the kids have won, despite some rain and a seventeen degree temperature drop in about an hour and a half.

The Halloween walk is an annual thing here in Kirkwood the Thursday before Halloween.  As many as two thousand kids and their parents hit the streets in costume as local businesses set up shop with candy.  Tonight many were wondering just what was going to happen to the crowd as the temperatures plummeted and a couple of pretty heavy showers hit, but in the end, the kids prevailed, though in slightly smaller numbers.

But the kids didn`t seem too worried about any of the logistics, there was candy to be had.
