Sunday:

The weather disco:

Quiet and chilly days and cold nights over the weekend…High pressure in control…Low 50’s each afternoon…Hanging around the freezing point late night/early morning…On to hurricane sandy…The system hugs the east coast over the weekend…Interacting with the gulf stream…This will allow it to grow slightly…This will be a cat 1..Maybe cat 2 when reaching landfall in the northeast…The problem…Its in very heavy populated areas, its the full moon(higher tides), tree sare still in leaf and the angle of attack…Hooking in from the ocean will lead to widespread tree and powerline damage and severe coastal flooding that could impact new york city. So its not a cat 4 or cat 5 storm…But this will lead to many deaths(40 already) and could total up to be a billion dollar storm when all done….Not there is some east coast media hype going on here too…But take that with a grain of salt…Stick with the facts…The core zone of landfall…Looking like southern new jersey to nyc to long island.
….At the same time..Cold air comes into the system…With big snows in the mountains from west virginia and ohio into upstate new york…Big tree damage…A very heavy wet, snow.Sandy will put the block on our weather…Not much going on for the next week…Other than the northerly flow…Chilly times into halloween
