(KPLR) – The new iPad mini was released Friday in the U.S. and 33 other countries.  It costs $329.  This smaller version only features Wi-Fi, but the model that supports 4G wireless networks is expected to arrive in mid-November.

Analyst say while people lined up at Apple stores worldwide, lines were much shorter than usual for an Apple launch.
