U.S. Cellular Selling Midwest Markets To Sprint

CHICAGO, IL (KTVI) – U.S. Cellular users in the Midwest will soon have a new cell phone provider — Sprint.  U.S. Cellular announced it has agreed to sell markets in St. Louis, Chicago, central Illinois and three other Midwest markets for $480 million.

U.S. Cellular says pulling out of those markets will allow them to be stronger in markets where they have more penetration.
