ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – You might see Cedric the Entertainer's face on a van driving around St. Louis.  In Wednesday's Patrick’s People, Patrick Clark talks with Cedric about the variety children's charity and how he knows he's made it.

There were a couple of new vans outside the chase park plaza today.
And one of them had a familiar face onboard.

You've got your face on a van?
Yeah, I’ve arrived.

Cedric the Entertainer was honored today at variety's champions for children summit.

The event honors those who support children with disabilities, and allocates money to St. Louis agencies.

Well its 4.5 million dollars and it covers about 14,500 kids and it's children we are working with almost daily.

With some of the modern technology and the cost of these things, the wheel chairs the walkers, that helps so many people.

FOX2's Tom O'Neil emceed the annual event and KTVI/KPLR General Manager Spencer Koch was one of many who got a special performance from the variety's kids cast of their musical Annie.

We went to Annie the last couple of weeks and to see these children on the stage enjoying themselves approaching a normalized life.  It just makes everything you can for them very worthwhile.

The two new sunshine coach vans will add to variety's fleet you'll see around city streets

So now there are 108 of them on the streets of St. Louis transporting children to doctor’s appointments, therapy, things like that.

And you're going to be stuck at a light and there I am.  To make your day, brightening things up.  Right there on the back of the van helping the kids and then I’m helping frustrated drivers.

Bringing sunshine everyday of the week.
