ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – On Wednesday afternoon, MODOT reopened the reversible lanes on I-70.   This will ease the commute for many Illinois drivers coming to Missouri.

The reversibles were closed for over a month while Modot did work for the new river bridge approaches on the Missouri side.  Now that the lanes are open eastbound traffic can utilize them as a faster alternative to downtown St. Louis and Metro East Illinois.

MODOT says they will still have some closures on Wednesday from 9am-3pm.  Lanes will be open for rush hours each day.
