(KTVI)-You wouldn`t typically think about getting your hair cut and undergoing a series of health screenings in one place. But that`s exactly what will happen Saturday thanks to an effort to provide much-needed access to health care at St. Louis barbershops.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, Washington University School of Medicine resident physicians at Barnes-Jewish Hospital will conduct two free health fairs at north city barbershops. The health fairs will include blood pressure screenings, blood sugar screening, nutritional advice, health information and more.
