Two Men Dead After Murder-Suicide In Park Hills

PARK HILLS, MO (KTVI)– Two men are dead after an argument ended in an apparent murder-suicide in Park Hills.

The Park Hills Police Department was called to an address on Rivermines St. around 2 a.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived to the scene they found 22-year-old Joseph Lee Gillam, of Festus, lying in the driveway.

Thirty-year-old Billy Jo Edwards, of rural Park Hills, was found lying near a parked SUV in the driveway.

Witnesses told officers that an altercation had occurred between Gillam and Edwards. The altercation began inside the residence then moved outside.

Once outside Gillam shot Edwards with a handgun before turning the gun on himself.

Autopsies are planned for Monday.
