ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – The St. Louis Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that ended with the victim driving himself to the Grand MetroLink Station.

The suspect was shot in the chest.

It happened on West Florissant Ave. Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The victim saw a police officer at the MetroLink station.

The officer called an ambulance.

"I am glad he was able to get help," MetroLink rider Cathrine Harry said. "That is really crazy, and it would have been traumatizing to see that."

The victim was taken to an area hospital, and police told Fox 2 he was in stable condition.

"He sounds very lucky, and I hope he is okay," Harry said.

Police are still looking for suspects.
