Wisconsin Hands Illinois Another Loss, 74-68

The struggling Illini lost for the sixth time in their last seven games, falling to Wisconsin on Sunday, 74-68 at Assembly Hall in Champaign, IL. Joseph Bertrand, who started in place of Brandon Paul led the Illini in scoring with 17 points. Five other Illinois players scored in double figures, including Paul with 13 points. But Wisconsin got 20 points from Ben Brust and 19 from Frank Kaminsky to overpower Illinois. The loss drops the Illini’s season record to 15-8 and just 2-7 in Big Ten Conference play.
