ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-Paraquad announced Monday that Aimee Wehmeier will be its new Executive Director/CEO.  She is just the third person to hold the position in the agency’s 43‐year history. Wehmeier, 41, succeeds Robert J. Funk, who is retiring after 11 years.

Paraquad is the largest disability service provider in the region, promoting independence, advocacy, choice, opportunity, empowerment and accessibility.

Wehmeier, who has muscular dystrophy and got her first wheelchair when she was four, said her personal story underscores the value of services that promote independence for people with disabilities.

The agency serves more than 4,500 people with all disabilities annually.
