(KTVI) – About 4,100 residents and businesses were without power Tuesday morning in the Central West End.

According to Ameren, there was a problem with the lines feeding the Euclid substation which caused the outage.

Those line run into the heart of the Central West End.  About two block north on Kingshighway and Euclid, the power was out at an apartment complex.

Several coffee shops and other businesses in the Central West End were also without power. Traffic lights on Kingshighway were also out causing traffic delays. The power was restored just before 8:00 a.m.
