(KTVI) – Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat’s attempt to get his point across to a Florida teen was loud and clear Monday.

Penelope Soto,18, was ultimately fined $10,000 and sentenced to 30 days in jail by the judge after her nonchalant antics weren’t well received. According to MSN, Soto was standing before the court after being arrested for drug possession. She playfully flipped her hair and seemed disinterested when answering the judge’s questions.

Rodriguez-Chomat initially set a fine of $5,000, but decided to increase the fine after Soto’s response by saying “Adios” to the judge after being dismissed. When the amount was changed to $10,000 the shocked teen decided to up the ante by delivering an additional middle finger to the judge. Unfortunately for Soto the judge decided to match her now infamous middle finger with a one more charge.
