Belleville Police Arrest Suspect IN Circle K Theft

BELLEVILLE, IL. (KTVI) – On Monday, February 4th, employees from the Circle K on 2700 block of West Main Street flagged down a Belleville Police officer, alerting the officer to a suspect who’d just left the store without paying for items taken from the store.  The employees pointed out the man and the suspect fled on foot.

The officer gave chase and caught the suspect.

Robert L. Nicks, Jr., of Belleville, was arrested and charged with retail theft and obstructing a peace officer.

His bail has been set at $25,000.
