The Blues are in a serious funk. They dropped their third straight game on Thursday night, 5-1 to the Detroit Red Wings at Scottrade Center. Five different Red Wings scored in the game as Brian Elliott again struggled in the Blues net. Detroit built a 2-0 1st period lead, before Alex Pietrangelo’s power play goal cut the margin to 2-1. But the Wings answered back with two late goals in the 2nd period to take a 4-1 lead. The Blues will try and right the ship on Saturday night when they host the Anaheim Ducks in game three of their four game home stand.
