Vegas Theater Shooting Suspect Still At Large

LAS VEGAS, NV (KLAS) - Two people were injured in a shooting at a movie theater on the Las Vegas strip.

It happened in the lobby of the U-A Showcase Theater, near the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino.  Police say two groups got into a fight just after midnight Wednesday.  Afterwards, one person came back and opened fire.

"It was a physical confrontation. The group separated, they then came back together in the lobby or the entrance to the theater. At some point, one of the individuals produced a firearm. Shots were fired. Two individuals were hit." said Officer Bill Cassell of the Las Vegas Metro Police.

"When the shots were fired one of the individuals fell in the lobby at the theater. Another individual actually fell into an elevator and ended up on the 5th floor."

Police are still searching for the suspect. The two victims were taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
