The Fighting Illini made it three straight wins as they ended their skid against Purdue.
Boilermakers had won 8 straight over Illinois before Wednesday’s 79-59 win for the Illini.
Illinois was led by D.J. Richardson’s 18 points and won the game despite a quiet night for Brandon Paul. Paul limited to just 3 points on 1 of 6 shooting. Tyler Griffey had 12 points for the Illini who improve to 18-8 on the season, 5-7 in the Big Ten.
