Tarasenko Injured in Loss to Avalanche

Blues rookie sensation Vladimir Tarasenko suffered an upper body injury as indicated by Blues management in the team’s loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night. Tarasenko took a high hit to the face from the Avalanche’s Mark Oliver and fell to the ice in the third period. Tarasenko appeared shaken and woozy as he left the ice. He did not return to the game and was taken to a local hospital in Denver to be looked at. Tarasenko did join his team at the airport after the game and flew home with the Blues. Tarasenko’s availability for their next game on Saturday is unknown. it is feared Tarasenko suffered a concussion on the hit.
