BALLWIN, MO (KTVI)-- With Pope Benedict the 16th officially stepping down Thursday, Cardinal Timothy Dolan's former school is keeping close tabs on these historic events.

Students at Holy Infant in Ballwin watched a history lesson unfold before their eyes, as they took in the coverage of the final day of Benedict's papacy.

The students are sad the pope is not well enough to continue, but excited by the idea that one of their own will have a hand in selecting the next pope or potentially becoming the next pope.
