(KTVI) – Michael Jordan and LeBron James have a lot more in common these days. Recently the legend and the superstar both have made big moves in their personal lives and the wedding bells are ringing.

Jordan, 50, applied for a marriage license with the state of Florida Thursday. ESPN reports the star was obligated by law to appear in person at the Palm Beach County courthouse to apply for the license. Information has not been released on the bride-to-be, but Jordan was engaged to Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto in 2011.

James, 28, is getting his own wedding plans in order. He and his fiancee Savannah Brinson have sent out ‘Save the Weekend’ cards to family and friends for their special wedding weekend. The couple notified recipients September 13-15 would be the dates to reserve in a copy of the card obtained by TMZ.

In the past the two players shared the same number 23. King James now plays in the same state as where Jordan has applied for his marriage license. He also joins Jordan as an NBA champion and likely will be a half-of-fame player, too.

For MJ this will be his second trip on the marriage merry-go-round. He was divorced from Juanita Vanoy after 17 years of marriage in 2006.

LBJ is taking his first trip down the isle. He prepares to wed his longtime girlfriend and mother of his two sons.
