Boyfriend Allegedly Poisons Girlfriend With Visine

(KTVI) – A story of a domestic dispute gone wrong in California is making headlines.  According to the Examiner, a woman’s boyfriend is accused of poisoning her with Visine eye drops.

Shayne Carpenter, 27, of Sacramento was arrested on domestic violence and attempted poisoning charges. Authorities say Carpenter and his girlfriend got into an argument and that’s when he tried to poison her.

After the fight the girlfriend began feeling sick.  The woman  allegedly found text messages on her boyfriends phone about his plan to slip Visine into her drink.

Carpenter admitted to doing so during a sting phone call, set up by police, between him and girlfriend. He said it was a “prank gone wrong.”

Carpenter’s girlfriend was treated and released from the hospital.
