Amendola Signs with Patriots. Long & Delmas Visit Rams

The Rams have lost their top wide receiver to the evil empire that is the New England Patriots. Danny Amendola agreed to a five year, 31 million dollar deal with the Patriots on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, Wes Welker announced he was leaving New England for a free agent deal with the Denver Broncos. That opened the door for Amendola to get the big pay day from the Patriots.

The Rams were busy on Wednesday entertaining free agents. Former number one overall pick Jake Long, a left tackle who was a four time pro bowler with the Miami Dolphins came to Rams Park for a physical. Long has battled injuries the last two seasons in Miami. The Rams also met with former Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas, Neither player was signed to a contract as of Wednesday night.
