WASHINGTON, DC - Representative Michele Bachmann nearly ran through the halls of Congress on Tuesday to avoid some of CNN's questions. The Minnesota Republican was asked about statements she made during last week's Conservative Political Action Conference.

She accused the President of frivolous spending on things like a dog walker and multiple chefs.

  • Bachmann: ... That's what's important ...
  • Bash: Why did you bring up the other things?
  • Bachmann: You want to talk about dog handlers and there's 4 Americans killed in Benghazi.
  • Bash: But Congresswoman, you're the one who brought it up.

CNN's Dana Bash says she was nearly out of breath trying to keep up with the Congresswoman.

Washington Post fact checkers say Bachmann's claims were all either misleading or unsubstantiated.

They also say all Presidents are given the same perks.
