EAST ST. LOUIS, IL (KTVI) - A wet, slushy, muck that's caused it's share of problems for those who made the mistake of getting out on Sunday.
A crash off 157 outside Caseyville Sunday afternoon is a cautionary tale. Police say one car spun out, crashed into another. The SUV In the crash lost control trying to avoid the other two. No one was injured.
For the most part, though, officials tell us they were able to stay ahead of the heavy snows. Two things helped: first, surface temperatures around freezing that made the streets a little easier to keep clear. Second, the lack of traffic.
The hope is more of the same will allow them to make rush hour a bearable experience Monday.
