ELLISVILLE, MO (KTVI)-- Lawyers for embattled Ellisville Mayor Adam Paul are in court trying to stop his removal from office.

The mayor's lawyers are asking for a restraining order preventing the city council from meeting Monday for an impeachment hearing.

The mayor says there is a city council election the next day, Tuesday, and he expects some of the current council members to lose their seats.
