ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The warm weather brought people all over the St. Louis area outside Friday.

Dozens of people gathered at a Harley Davidson bike shop in Kirkwood.

"This is the time of the year we wait for," Tom Simpkin said. "My buddy calls me and I have to go riding."

Bike sales spike during the winter, so many riders are debuting brand new bikes.

"It is just a unique lifestyle and these days make it great," Simpkin said. "It is just beautiful out here, and I can't wait to ride."

People also filled restaurants with patios to soak up the sun.

"This is just awesome weather that I am so glad is here," JoAnna Polecek said. "I think that everyone had cabin fever all winter long and now they are excited about spring."

The weather brought several musicians to the Delmar Loop. They played music that people said was almost like a "soundtrack" to spring.

"It just makes you feel really good, and it makes you feel like it is a great day," Polecek said. "This is perfect."

The weather also brought a large police presence to the Delmar Loop.

Officers patrolled the area to make sure everyone enjoyed the weather in a safe way.
