The Cardinals last visit to Nationals Park included the scintillating comeback in Game 5 to win the NLDS. The big comeback was necessary because Adam Wainwright was knocked out of that game. On Tuesday night Wainwright returned to the scene and also returned to form. He pitched 8 and a third shutout innings as the Cardinals beat the Nationals 2-0. Edward Mujica got the final two outs for his third save of the season. Wainwright improved to 4-1 and he now has 37 strikeouts on the season to go with just one walk. The Cards go for the sweep over the Nats with a day game on Wednesday.
