Father And Son Rescued After Being Stranded In Mississippi

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO. (KTVI) – The Jefferson County R-7 Fire Department has rescued a father and son out boating on the Mississippi River Tuesday evening.  It's not known why the two were out on the river and subsequently got stuck on debris in the river.

The man and his son were in an area near the Ameren Rush Island power plant, when a distress call went out just before 6:00 pm.
