(KTVI) – The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency is reporting that flood waters are rising in the Winfield area, east of Highway 79.  Ten to fifteen homes in Winfield Acres near Highway N have water in their yards and some in their homes.

The Mississippi River is falling and has stopped topping levees.  Flood water is flowing south from Foley to Winfield, causing water levels to fall in Foley and rise in Winfield.

There have been no levee breaches in Lincoln County, but the levee district is unable to pump out water from the Winfield area, due to high levels on Mississippi River.
