ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – ‘Million Dollar Quartet’, the Broadway smash hit chronicling the rare jam session of the golden boys of rock n’ roll, opened this week at the Fabulous Fox Theatre.

December 4, 1956 was a night to remember in music history when Sam Philips, the Father of Rock n` Roll rounded up Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis together at Sun Records in Memphis for what initially seemed like a casual get together bound by music and stories.

John Michael Presney grew up near Springfield, Illinois. He is the Carl Perkins understudy and played Carl Perkins last year at the Fox during the season announcement event. He’s very excited to return to St. Louis and to perform at his 'home theatre.'

Little did they know their little bonding moment would create a musical craze and give birth to a one-time and never-before-again musical act, the ‘Million Dollar Quartet’.

Show times for ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ in St. Louis are at 8:00pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays with a special evening performance on Sunday, April 28 at 7:30pm. Matinee performances are at 2:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays with a special matinee on Thursday, May 2 at 1:00pm. The performance running time is 1 hours 40 minutes.
