Chesterfield Earth Day & City Fest

CHESTERFIELD, MO (KTVI) – Earth Day was Monday and there was one festival in Forest park, but you can celebrate again at the Earth Day Festival in Chesterfield.

Libbey Tucker, from Chesterfield Community Services & Economic Development Director, showed off Riley the Recycling Dog who does tricks like putting his plastic bottle in a recycling container.

There will also be drive-thru recycling, where nearly everything can be recycled: newspaper, glass, used clothing, buttons, beads, bicycles, electronics and more. CINTAS will be at the Earth Day festival to shred documents for you.

City Arborist Mindy Mohrman talked about the tree giveaway at the Earth Day celebration. They city will give away 500 native trees such as redbuds, dogwoods, elderberries.

If that is not take care of you need for festivals, never fear, you can attend the Chesterfield City Fest. Kari Johnson, from Chesterfield Parks & Rec, stopped by to explain it's a huge event that includes the water park, music and capped off by fireworks to celebrate the city's 25th anniversary.
