Cardinals win 4th Straight, 6-1 over Lohse and Brewers

For the second time this season Cardinals rookie pitcher outpitched former Cards starter Kyle Lohse. The Redbirds Beat the Brewers 6-1 in Milwaukee on Friday night for their fourth straight win.

Miller pitched six innings allowing just one run to improve his record to 4-2. Lohse lasted just five innings for the Brewers, allowing four runs on 11 hits. One of those hits was a 458 foot monster home run by Matt Holliday, that banged off the scoreboard in deep center field. Carlos Beltran hits his 8th home run of the season in the 7th inning to build the St. Louis lead to 5-1.

Two Cardinals pitchers made their major league debuts in the game. Carlos Martinez pitched a solo 7th inning, while Seth Maness tossed a scoreless 8th inning of work on the mound.

The Cardinals sit atop the NL Central division with an 18-11 record. You can see Saturday;s Cardinals at Brewers game right here on Fox 2.
