The Cardinals hit Milwaukee with a battered bullpen and an inconsistent offense. After sweeping 4 straight from the Brewers, the Cards offense appears to be re-ignited (29 runs in the 4 game sweep), and the bullpen has been rejuvenated. Allen Craig drove in 4 runs as the Cardinals beat the Brewers 10-1 on Sunday. Jaime Garcia won his 4th game going 8 innings giving up only 1 run. The weekend also marked the big league debut of Carlos Martinez, the Cards young phenom who made the jump straight from Double A Springfield. He had two scoreless appearances in relief and hit 99 miles per hour on the radar gun on Sunday. The Cardinals are tied for the best record in the big leagues (20-11).
